Description

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll evaluate, treat, and support patients through personalized therapy plans, collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Congduct thorough clinical evaluations tailored to patient diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with functional, measurable goals.
  • Deliver effective therapy interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, prognosis, and home exercises.
  • Monitor for adverse responses and modify treatment accordingly.
  • Plan and execute timely discharges with appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing.
  • Participate in team meetings, staffing's, and family conferences.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and make referrals as needed.
  • Provide guidance to rehab techs, volunteers, and students.
  • Support departmental initiatives including CARF, JCAHO, and performance improvement.
  • Attend and contribute to in-services and maintain required competencies.

Education

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Indiana.
  • Current CPR certification.

Experience

  • Preferred: Clinical experience in a Speech Therapy setting.
  • Acceptable: New graduates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

  • Ability to engage patients and families in therapeutic processes.
