About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech, language, communication, feeding and swallowing disorder service to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families as identified in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). This role also ensures that all (0-3) children are served timely and appropriately and in keeping with their procedural safeguards, rights, and needs. This position fully embraces the mission and 7 key principals for providing early intervention services in the natural environment.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- ASHA CCC SLP or Clinical Fellow working toward CCC SLP
- Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Intern (CFY) license in Texas
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
Preferences: Experience in early childhood and pediatrics
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to lift 50+ pounds and have a physical on-site presence, including regular attendance and punctuality.
Agency Requirements
All staff are required to participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs and may be assigned by their department as a key/essential staff level function during critical events or for the purpose of sustaining business continuity. This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility as determined by program needs and/or the Division/Director. Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change.
