- Teach a full-time load of undergraduate courses in Speech
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective classroom and online instruction using a variety of pedagogical methods
- Design and implement effective assessment strategies to measure student learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate student records and submit timely grades
- Serve on department, division, and college committees
- Participate in college-wide events and initiatives
- Advise and mentor students in academic and professional development
- Advise student clubs and organizations related to communication
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in speech communication, speech studies, or related field required
- At least 2-3 years of experience in teaching public speaking at a community college preferred
- Knowledge of Canvas LMS preferred
- Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction

This position includes teaching, advising, department and college service, and professional development.

The successful candidate will teach five (5) courses per regular semester that could include in-person courses at either of two campuses (Moline, IL and Galva, IL), asynchronous or synchronous on-line courses, and/or dual-credit classes.
