About the role

Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in students to support academic and social success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy.
  • Develop intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with educators and families.
  • Participate in evaluations and IEP meetings.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Support language development strategies.
  • Work with staff to integrate speech services.
  • Conduct assessments.
  • Offer training on communication strategies and AAC systems.
  • Ensure proper management of therapy materials.
  • Travel between school sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
  • Valid Michigan license in speech-language pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or equivalent credentials.
  • Clinical fellows with supervised training will be considered.
  • Certification in speech-language pathology required.
  • Compliance with safety legislation and background check requirements.
