About the role
Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in students to support academic and social success.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy.
- Develop intervention plans.
- Collaborate with educators and families.
- Participate in evaluations and IEP meetings.
- Maintain documentation.
- Support language development strategies.
- Work with staff to integrate speech services.
- Conduct assessments.
- Offer training on communication strategies and AAC systems.
- Ensure proper management of therapy materials.
- Travel between school sites as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology.
- Valid Michigan license in speech-language pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or equivalent credentials.
- Clinical fellows with supervised training will be considered.
- Certification in speech-language pathology required.
- Compliance with safety legislation and background check requirements.
