About the role

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District seeks a Speech and Language Specialist to provide speech-language, communication, early childhood special education, or related services to preschool-aged children or young students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with speech and language needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• A valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or other appropriate credential, license, or authorization as determined by the District.
• A master's degree in speech-language pathology, communication disorders, early childhood special education, child development, special education, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Successful experience providing speech-language, communication, early childhood special education, or related services to preschool-aged children or young students with disabilities.
• At least three letters of recommendation are required.
• A current resume is required.

• A master's degree in speech-language pathology, communication disorders, early childhood special education, child development, special education, or a closely related field is preferred.
• At least three letters of recommendation are required.
