Speech and Language Pathologist (Part-Time)
Position Overview
Diagnoses communicative disorders, plans, directs and participates in individual or group therapy sessions which focus on the remediation of specific articulation problems. Delivers direct and consultative speech-language therapy, monitors student progress, implements instructional strategies and accommodations that support communication development and academic success. Collaborates with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to provide guidance, referrals, assistive technology recommendations, and communication strategies that support student achievement. Conducts screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring; prepares evaluation reports, maintains accurate records, and completes all required documentation, including Medicaid billing, in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Promotes inclusive learning environments by providing consultation, professional guidance, and resources related to speech, language, hearing, voice, and fluency development to support students across educational settings.
Minimum Requirements
- Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 061
- Must hold a valid CT Dept. of Public Health license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Preferred Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable

Salary Range
$48,703- $100,722 per year annually (full-time equivalent), prorated based on the position's FTE
