Speech and Language Pathologist - FT

About the Role

The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is a 27-bed hospital devoted to helping patients return to an optimal level of independence after a life-altering event or diagnosis. Our specialty physicians are experts in stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, neurological disease, amputee, and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of services to patients with neurological, speech-language, cognitive, swallowing, pragmatic, voice, and other cognitive-related disorders requiring intervention by a licensed speech-language pathologist.
• Work through an interdisciplinary approach to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of patients.

Requirements

• One year of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting (Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply; mentorship opportunities are available).
• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology with a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current Speech-Language Pathologist License with the State of Louisiana.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
