Speech and Language Pathologist

About the role

The South Bergen Jointure Commission seeks Speech Therapists to support students' communication development and overall success. Working collaboratively with teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and related service providers, SBJC Speech Therapists deliver individualized speech and language therapy, support communication goals outlined in student IEPs, and help students build the skills necessary for effective communication and greater independence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to students
• Support communication goals outlined in student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students
• Help students build the skills necessary for effective communication and greater independence

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New Jersey
• Experience working with students with exceptional abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
• Experience with assessment and intervention strategies for students with communication disorders
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate student schedules
