About the role
The Speech and Language Pathologist will provide diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and therapy sessions to students with speech and language disorders. They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students in various settings including classrooms, clinics, and home visits
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Keep records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Mississippi
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working with children with speech and language disorders
