Full-time school-year position with a $8,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Assignment at Farwell and Clare Preschools & Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Reports to the Director of Special Education and/or Special Educator Supervisor. Follows the district calendar, five days per week, 7.25 hours per day.

About the role

The Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students with disabilities in the school setting. This position evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication disorders that impact educational performance. The SLP collaborates with special education teams, general education staff, families, and community partners to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote student communication development, academic success, and social-emotional well-being.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
  • Certificates and/or licenses approved by the State of Michigan, LARA
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License

Pay

According to the terms of the Master Agreement for AFT.

Schedule

School-year position following the district calendar; five days per week, 7.25 hours per day. Starting August 2026.
