About the role

The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Portland State University seeks adjunct clinical faculty to support graduate-level supervision of clinical practica and teaching graduate seminars.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to graduate-level supervision of clinical practica, training future speech-language pathologists in real-world clinical skills.
  • Provide hands-on supervision in on-campus and community clinics.
  • Teach or assist with graduate seminars in areas of expertise.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders or Audiology, or related fields.
  • Certification through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • At least three years of clinical experience.
  • Must reside in Oregon or SW Washington.

Qualifications

  • Previous clinical supervision experience preferred.
  • PhD in SPHR/CSD, AudD, or terminal degree in a closely related field, preferred.

Pay

Adjunct faculty are hired on a per quarter basis and paid per credit hour (currently $1,445.00 per credit) , per the PSUFA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
