About the role

This is a Limited-Term Temporary Hourly (LTTH) position scheduled for approximately 6.50 hours per day from September 3, 2026 to November 16, 2026, following the 190 Day KAP Calendar.

Pay

Hourly salary ranges from a minimum of $30.89 to a maximum of $37.99. Salary is annualized and spread through August, with placement on the KAP Salary Schedule based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.

Requirements

  • Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following:
    • Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
    • 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
    • A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
  • If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If selected as the finalist, you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired.

Post-Hire Requirements

  • Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team.
