About the Role
This position is split between the Special Education Integrated Program (IP) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Kentlake High School.
Schedule
- 6.5 hours per day total (daily schedules may vary based on student days)
- 4.5 hours - Special Education Integrated Program (IP)
- 2.0 hours - Career and Technical Education (CTE)
- 190-day KAP Calendar - SpED IP
- 189-day KAP Calendar - CTE
Pay
- SpED IP (4.5 hrs): $30.89 - $37.99 per hour
- CTE (2.0 hrs): $29.43 - $36.18 per hour
- Salary schedule step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit
- Salary is annualized and spread through August

Requirements
Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution
- 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent
If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.
Post-Hire Requirements
Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
