SpED Paraeducator - Integrated Program (IP) and Paraeducator - Title

About the role

Meadow Ridge Elementary is seeking a Paraeducator to support students in the KAP Calendar. The position involves 4 hours per day for a Sped IP Paraeducator and 2.5 hours per day for a Title Paraeducator.

Responsibilities

• Support students in various educational settings
• Assist with classroom management and activities
• Participate in state-required training

Requirements

• Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington.
• Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• 72 college level credits from an accredited institution.
• A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• If not meeting the qualifications, candidates can still apply and take the ParaPro Assessment prior to hiring.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of special education and/or general education curriculum
• Ability to manage classroom materials and supplies
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
