SpED Paraeducator ESCE Preschool - Long Term Temporary (LTT)
Contract Type: Long Term Temporary (LTT) – 6.5 hours/day (tentative contract dates of 09/14/26 thru 01/29/27) on the 190 Day KAP Calendar.
Pay
Hourly salary range: $30.89 – $37.99 (KAP Salary Schedule). Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit. Salary is annualized and spread through August.
Requirements
Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If selected as the finalist, you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to formal hire.
Post-Hire Requirements
- Upon hire, paraeducators must complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team.
