About the role
Cedar Valley Elementary School is seeking a Paraeducator to support the educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in providing a safe and structured learning environment.
- Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and activities as directed by teachers.
- Provide additional instruction and support to students as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college level credits from an accredited institution.
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
Post-Hire Requirements
- Paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.

- Hourly Salary
- Min: $30.89
- Max: $37.99
- Salary Schedule KAP Salary Schedule Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.
- Salary is annualized and spread through August.
Schedule
- KAP Calendar
- Hours: 6.5 hrs/day
- Tentative start date: 09/14/2026
- End date: 01/29/2027
