About the role

Cedar Valley Elementary School is seeking a Paraeducator to support the educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers in providing a safe and structured learning environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and activities as directed by teachers.
  • Provide additional instruction and support to students as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

  • Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
  • Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • 72 college level credits from an accredited institution.
  • A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

Post-Hire Requirements

  • Paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.

  • Hourly Salary
  • Min: $30.89
  • Max: $37.99
  • Salary Schedule KAP Salary Schedule Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.
  • Salary is annualized and spread through August.

Schedule

  • KAP Calendar
  • Hours: 6.5 hrs/day
  • Tentative start date: 09/14/2026
  • End date: 01/29/2027
