Spectra Art Teacher

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Art or college-level art courses preferred;
• Practicing artists with experience working with elementary students preferred.

Requirements

Artists who would like to be considered to join our team must submit the following documents:

• Resume of related experiences;
• Clear evidence of an ongoing artist’s practice, with a personal portfolio of 6-8 pieces, including work that demonstrates an understanding of painting and drawing skills.

Become a Spectra Art Teacher

Becoming a Spectra Art Teacher involves the following commitments:

• Minimum of 6 hours of teaching time;
• Maximum 20 hours per week total, including prep time;
• About a 10-month work year;
• Monthly professional development meetings which consist of 2-3 hours of professional learning with all Spectra Teachers
