Specimen Technician I

About the role

Quest Diagnostics is recruiting for specimen processors/lab assistants to join our team in Brookfield, WI. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of test orders, presort, pickup, and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory
• Centrifugation and aliquoting of specimens
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing
• Identify problems and, in some cases, resolve issues with specimen types (e.g., missing information)
• Understand the relationship between tests ordered and specimens received

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required (previous experience in a production or medical environment preferred)
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed based on staffing requirements

Pay

Pay range starts at $18+ per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market factors, and organizational considerations. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.
