Specimen Processing Trainer

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and facilitating training for all new employees as well as existing employees
• Maintaining a written training program and developing training as needed
• Maintaining all training materials, and answering questions during inspections
• Providing Supervisors with appropriate feedback when problems arise, including progress reports on all new employees
• Adhering to and applying all Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures, including safety and compliance during training sessions
• Attending additional meetings and training sessions as needed by department leadership
• Maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Completing all required written documentation, legibly and within the assigned timeframe
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Internal candidates must have a minimum of one year in PR Tech/Group Leader or related roles
• Preferred work experience includes minimum of 3 years lab experience, preferably in a production environment, and a medical background with medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory or equivalent experience
• A training background or equivalent experience is preferred, along with training coursework/certification such as adult learning theory, ASTD, etc.
• Physical and mental requirements include working in a biohazard environment, handling multiple tasks, and standing or sitting for long periods
• Skills required include excellent verbal and written communication, PC skills including a working knowledge of MS Office applications, and the ability to reflect good judgment and adapt to changes quickly
• Education requirement is a High School Diploma or Equivalent
