About the role
The Specimen Collector Phlebotomist plays a crucial role at Millennium Health, assisting in the collection, processing, and shipping of patient specimens. This position requires exceptional customer service skills and a strong understanding of medical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient blood, urine, and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens
- Process and package collections for shipping
- Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
- Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in the ordering portal
- Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
- Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)
- Drive from/to multiple facilities as needed
Requirements
- Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
- Valid driver’s license
- Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes (preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent

Pay

Schedule
Full-Time | Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
