About the role
The Specimen Collector Phlebotomist plays a crucial role at Millennium Health, assisting in the collection of patient specimens including blood, urine, and oral fluid. This position requires exceptional customer service and care, ensuring smooth interactions with patients, clinicians, and the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens
- Process and package collections for shipping
- Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
- Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
- Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
- Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)
- Drive from/to multiple facilities as needed
Requirements
- Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
- Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
- Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required

Pay
$18-21/hr. Salary offered is dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Full-Time | Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm Tuesday and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
