Specimen Collector II- 1705

Description

The Specimen Collector II role at Millennium Health LLC involves collecting and processing patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens, serving as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory, and maintaining collection supplies inventory. Key responsibilities include:

• Collecting and processing patient specimens
• Package collections for shipping
• Recording patient information and physician order details
• Resolving specimen concerns with billing or patient information in the ordering portal
• Ordering and maintaining collection supplies inventory
• Observing collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients (preferred)
• 2+ years of customer service experience (can be considered in place of medical experience)
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
• Valid driver's license required; reliable transportation
• Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes (plus)
• Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
• Ability to ensure administrative, physical, and technical cyber security controls are adhered to
• High School diploma or equivalent required
