Specimen Accessioner- Full-Time

About the role

We are currently seeking a Specimen Processor/Accessioner. The position will be located in our main facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Schedule

Full Time, Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the receipt and processing of specimens.
• Enters patient demographic and testing information into the laboratory information system.
• Examines specimens for adequacy.
• Labels specimens and prepares aliquots.
• Delivers specimens to proper laboratory departments for analysis.
• Affords assistance with other data entry and clerical functions as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Requires an ability to focus and an attention to accuracy and detail;
• Must display interpersonal, and diplomacy skills and work well as part of a team;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and see tasks through to completion.

Educational Requirements

High School Education preferred.
