Specifications Representative

About the role

Deliver the Difference with us: As a Specification Representative, you will play a key role in promoting Sierra Forest Products' diverse product portfolio within target markets, with the objective of increasing specifications and ultimately driving revenue growth.

Requirements

• Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key industry contacts, including architects, designers, general contractors, and end users
• Identify relevant projects, key players, and decision makers with the goal of increasing, securing, and sustaining product specifications
• Collaborate with the sales team and utilize CRM tools to accurately track and manage specified projects through to completion and sale
• Engage in continuous learning to strengthen product knowledge and industry expertise
• Work closely with the management team to support and coordinate marketing initiatives
• Maintain productive, professional relationships with vendors
• Stay current on new products and industry trends, sharing insights with both management and the sales team
• Partner with design firms to support colour palette selection and overall design solutions

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience working in or with the architectural design community and/or sales in a related industry
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Results driven with excellent negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills
• Outgoing, creative, self-driven with a passion for results
• Able to manage a long sales pipeline with the help of our CRM software
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
• College or university degree in a related field or equivalent level of field experience an asset
• Interior Design Accreditation or Certificate
