Job Summary

The Registered Nurse leads the health care team, providing professional nursing care according to established standards and policies. Demonstrates leadership, flexibility, and adherence to organizational vision and mission.

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to regulatory requirements and Kaiser Permanente policies.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a leader of the health care team, delegating tasks appropriately and demonstrating accountability.
• Champions new ideas, leads change processes, and collaborates with other departments to resolve issues.
• Mentors and coaches team members, ensuring they meet performance standards.
• Develops and implements individualized patient care plans, ensuring multidisciplinary collaboration and patient education.
• Maintains patient safety by monitoring progress, addressing pain, and ensuring proper medication administration.
• Documents patient care accurately and efficiently, reflecting the nursing process and interventions.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and shares responsibility for team success.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse License (California)
• Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PICC didactic course and recent (within the past 3 years) PICC insertion experience
• Current ONS Provider Card or APHON for administering chemotherapy
• Basic arrhythmia course

Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in acute care or ambulatory care
• No formal education requirement
