Specialty Summer Intern- New York

About the role

The CAC, part of the Baldwin Group Summer Internship Program, provides rising college seniors with practical, hands‑on experience within the corporate risk management and insurance industries. Interns in this 8‑week program gain exposure to risk management within a specific specialty line, with departmental/specialty line placement based on interest. Opportunities are available in:

• Private Equity – Intern will gain exposure to the rapidly evolving and highly successful private equity sector where increased scrutiny has brought heightened regulation, litigation, and unforeseen risks. The intern will focus on an industry while learning several different lines of insurance within the Private Equity space.
• Human Capital Risk – Team partners with private equity firms and their portfolio companies to manage risks tied to their most valuable asset—their people. Intern will gain firsthand exposure to the acquisition due diligence process and ongoing client service provided to portfolio companies, evaluate human capital risks during transactions, and support the design and management of employee benefits programs that drive long‑term value.
• Tax Insurance – Dynamic and collaborative team that develops innovative tax insurance solutions for clients. Intern will work alongside experienced tax attorneys, underwriters, and operations professionals to support the processes and workflow
