About the Role
Curtze Food Service, known for operating Specialty Steak Service, a USDA-inspected protein processing facility, is on the hunt for talented and experienced Journeyman Meat Cutters. We need individuals who can efficiently cut and process meat products to meet our high standards.
Work Environment
Shift: Second-shift full-time. Expect a challenging but rewarding role that involves bending, stooping, lifting, and operating sharp cutting tools in a temperature-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to USDA standards.
- Prioritize safety in all operations.
- Expertly process, cut, trim, and label meat products according to our company's high standards.
- Operate various equipment, including saws, knives, and cubers.
- Maintain pristine sanitary conditions, keeping work surfaces, utensils, and equipment clean.
- Conduct daily machinery inspections while adhering to safety protocols.
- Report any accidents involving employees or company property and equipment.
- Tackle additional assigned duties from management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years of experience in meat cutting.
- A solid understanding of various meat cuts.
- The ability to stand for extended periods, work in cold temperatures, and handle heavy lifting.
