About the role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual merchandising, and attentive service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves setting, filling, and pricing the floor with the right products, sizes, styles, and colors, while supporting guests throughout their shopping journey.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms as an opportunity to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service is worked back out to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct them where possible.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know the team is happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting or moving items up to 15 lb and occasionally up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carry‑out.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Enjoy interacting with and helping others, including guests and fellow team members.
• Thrive in a fast‑moving, physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving are key.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.50 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
