About the role

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. As a Style Consultant, you’ll be part of a team that delivers strong operations, incredible guest experiences, and compelling visual merchandising that inspires guests and builds the basket. You’ll welcome and assist guests on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensure the floor is stocked with the right product, accurately priced and signed, and maintain a full, guest‑ready floorpad through visual standards, replenishment, and merchandising. You’ll also support price changes, fitting room service, fulfillment, and guest service duties such as backup cashier, order pick‑up, and Drive‑up, while upholding safety, compliance, and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floor by executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, including locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using remerchandising best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from the fitting room and guest service is worked back out to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, comply with safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick‑up (OPU) and Drive‑up (DU), maintaining compliance with adult beverage laws and other regulations.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with them in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

• Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 lb and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise and fixtures up to 44 lb without additional assistance.
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $17.50 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
