Specialty Sales Manager, Footwear - NAM

About the role
As the Specialty Sales Manager, Footwear - North America, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of Arc’teryx’s Footwear business in Specialty Wholesale across North America. You will be a strategic advisor and partner to a team of Territory Managers and Specialty Partners, guiding how our Footwear shows up in specialty retail environments. Along with this team, you will execute the Specialty Footwear strategy to ensure product, storytelling, and service align with the long-term strategic plan. Your influence will elevate the footwear category through growth, distribution, and sell-through.
Meet your team: The North American Commercial team delivers sales through all local channels, meeting guests where they shop and ensuring Arc’teryx is represented consistently and at its best. As the retail landscape evolves, the team adapts with creativity and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Execute the strategy for Specialty Footwear in North America in alignment with the long-term strategic plan.
- Identify, pursue, and build relationships with new Specialty Partners to expand the distribution network in line with the brand’s vision and legacy.
- Develop programming and support a team of Territory Managers to drive profitable growth and meaningful partnerships for Specialty Footwear partners.
- Partner with trade marketing to create and execute seasonal strategies for best-in-class partner experiences.
- Collaborate with demand planning and allocations to develop data-driven forecasting plans and assortments.
- Travel across North America (50% travel commitment) to support go-to-market success and strengthen partner relationships.
- Attend and support trade shows and industry events.
Future Opportunities
- Develop and extend Project Beta into Snow & Climb.
- Build a footwear sales team to drive growth in the footwear category.
- Work with the Commercial team to discover new business opportunities, identify innovative approaches, and scale best practices with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Deepen channel knowledge to support brand expansion and community engagement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of related experience in strategic account management, ideally in the footwear space.
- Proven people leadership skills, capable of motivating and engaging teams to drive collaboration and shared goals.
- Experience across all forms of distribution, including owned retail, partnership-branded retail, and wholesale development.
- Passion for delivering best-in-class service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategies and concepts clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with diverse personalities.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a global level.
- Strong organizational skills, analytical ability, and a track record in strategic planning.
- Proactive decision-making skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and developing solutions.

Pay
The salary range for this role is USD $107,000 – USD $141,000. Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, reflecting market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
