Part-Time Sales Associate - Famous Footwear

Famous Footwear is your place for athletic, fashion and casual shoes for the whole family from hundreds of name brands. As a Sales Associate, you are passionate about providing the best shoe store experience for every customer by creating a welcoming environment and in-store culture.

Responsibilities

• Ace Retail Operations: Ensure daily store tasks (pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment and inventory) are completed efficiently, keeping the store clean, organized, and shoppable according to company standards.
• Be a Famous Culture Influencer: Champion the company culture by delivering stellar customer engagement and top-notch experiences, helping customers find the styles and brands they crave.
• Elevate to Your Goal-Crushing Era: Drive sales with purpose and urgency to achieve store goals, review performance, and communicate clearly and timely with the team.
• Act with Integrity: Adhere to company policies and procedures, seek feedback to improve skills, and focus on professional development.
• Bring the Positive Vibes: Embrace diversity and inclusivity, maintain a positive mindset, and support teammates through training and development.
• Be a Shoe-off: Assist customers in finding the perfect shoe fit and style, making recommendations to ensure they leave with the "Famous Feeling."

Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime hours may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (preferred).
• Able to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work positively with associates at all levels.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.

Pay and Schedule

Starting pay is determined by several factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience, and will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
