About the role
Provides expert nursing care in the OR, PACU, or perioperative settings, utilizing the nursing process to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care within perioperative, PACU, or operating room levels, following evidence-based practices and standards set by AORN and ABPANC.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Mentor and precept new healthcare professionals to promote clinical proficiency.
- Support clinical education and competency validation throughout orientation.
- Prioritize patient wellness, safety, and evidence-based interventions.
- Provide high-level patient care, support educational initiatives, and foster a safe, efficient clinical environment.
- Emphasize professional growth, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; preferred bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification; specialty area certification preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a procedural or perioperative setting.
