Responsibilities
- Provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and communicate their benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory targets by delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational events, and exceeding goals through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage customer relationships by tailoring interactions to customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products and keep patient impact at the forefront throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements
Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree
- OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience
- OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience
Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical/healthcare/scientific experience not in sales
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical/healthcare/scientific experience not in sales
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical/healthcare/scientific experience not in sales
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical devices
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases
- Local market knowledge
- Established relationships in the territory
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships
