About the role

Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at our Proprium Pharmacy Fulfillment Center in Chesapeake, VA 23320. Status: Flexi. The Specialty Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
• CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
• 1 Year Pharmacy Experience (Preferred)

Pay

The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.50 – $36.36 hourly. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
