Specialty Manager

About the role

The Specialty Manager will oversee, lead, and manage the Specialty Team and its functions, including Cease/Desist, Deceased, Voluntary Surrender, and Specialty State processes. Responsibilities include identifying potential Cease/Desist and Deceased accounts through Call Miner review, analysis, and exception communication, as well as processing these accounts. The role also involves monitoring and ensuring compliance with state call handling restrictions and federal/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and assign volume within Specialty processes to ensure handling within established SLAs and compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Assess and allocate staffing for proper coverage of all Specialty Call Handling.
• Execute process enhancements and expansions to comply with all regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality assessments of completed productivity for accuracy and compliance with federal/state regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate Call Miner and State Call Restricted exceptions and collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Six (6)+ years of experience.
• One (1)+ years of management experience.
• Experience in compliance requirements, regulations, and processes preferred.
• Knowledge of Cease/Desist, Deceased, and Specialty State processes, regulations, and requirements.
• General knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with peers and leadership.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $58,900.00 - $80,900.00 annually.
