Specialty Beauty Advisor - Lancome
About the Role
The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Lancôme (SBA – Lancôme) is responsible for maximizing sales in the Lancôme brand (including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their individual needs, assisting in the selection and purchase of merchandise, and maintaining overall store standards. This role represents the image, products, and culture of Ulta Beauty and the Lancôme brand while supporting the Experience Manager through a focus on performance, people, and process.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed Lancôme brand sales and clientele goals, contributing to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging every guest, personalizing service, offering samples, and recommending complementary products.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
- Stay current on prestige training to drive category performance.
- Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including follow-ups on guest inquiries.
- Inform guests about current promotions, events, and services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
- Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative environment for teammates and guests.
- Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
- Maintain strong relationships with Lancôme brand partners through required trainings and event execution.
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
- Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards, including dress code and operational tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Lancôme brand area, testers, demonstration stations, and assigned store areas.
- Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
- Follow loss prevention best practices and provide exceptional guest service.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
- Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle guest concerns proactively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attend brand-sponsored trainings.
Working Conditions
- Frequent mobility, standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
- Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
