Specialty Beauty Advisor - Clinique

About the role

The Specialty Beauty Advisor – Clinique (SBA – Clinique) maximizes sales in the Clinique brand (cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs, assisting in product selection, and maintaining store standards. This role represents Ulta Beauty and Clinique, supporting the Experience Manager through performance, people, and process initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed Clinique brand sales and clientele goals, contributing to store targets for retail/service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel, and shrink.
• Provide exceptional guest service: greet, engage, personalize interactions, offer samples, and recommend complementary products/services.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments and support in-store events to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
• Build and maintain customer relationships, follow up on inquiries, and promote current promotions/events.
• Stay informed about new/existing products, ingredients, and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Foster an inclusive environment, support teammates, and share benefits of the guest loyalty program.
• Participate in Clinique brand trainings and collaborate with store teams to grow business.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty and Clinique policies, procedures, and dress code, including wearing brand assets.
• Maintain replenished, signed, and faced work areas with available testers compliant with hygiene standards.
• Uphold operational standards: merchandise presentation, cleanliness, resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory, and shipment processing.
• Follow loss prevention best practices and execute additional operational tasks as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
• Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend brand-sponsored trainings.

Working Conditions

• Frequent mobility, standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shifts.
• Continuous lifting/moving up to 10 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00 per hour. Exact pay depends on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime pay as required by law.
