About the Role
This position is for an aide supporting a student in a special-education setting.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.)
- Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or other similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Training must be in-person and include a hands-on component; online courses will not be accepted.
Preferred Qualifications
- Signing abilities (for the hearing-impaired program)
- One year of experience working with special-education children
Documents Required at Time of Application
- High school transcript or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.)
- Copy of the front and back of the current CPR/AED certificate
- Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications
- Out-of-district applicants: three most recent years of work experience, including dates of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work
