Responsibilities

  • Contribute to operational excellence by developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate corrective and preventive action plans with relevant departments.
  • Analyze quality data, monitor performance trends, and track the effectiveness of improvement activities.
  • Facilitate root cause investigations related to quality issues, customer complaints, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Provide training and coaching on quality practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support supplier quality activities, quality control plans, inspection procedures, and Project Quality Management activities on assigned execution projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Already hold work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or continuous improvement role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001 and continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
  • Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, data analysis tools, Minitab, and Excel.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
  • Fluency in English and French, with willingness to travel a minimum of 25%.
