Specialist, Warehouse I
About the role
Work in a team-oriented environment by picking, preparing, and palletizing finished goods for shipment – working overtime as needed to accomplish the daily/weekly shipping goals. Operate forklift or other equipment as required in the movement of material within the distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Complete a daily vehicle inspection report prior to operating any equipment.
- Responsible for the proper charging of the vehicles after use.
- Performing light maintenance duties as required (i.e. watering battery properly).
- Complete warehouse tasks using a handheld RF scanner (picking, replenishing, and putting away items).
- Ensure precise data entry, verify product details, and record serial numbers to maintain inventory integrity.
- Pick and stack product according to procedure and special instructions.
- Cross-checking as needed to 100% accuracy.
- Pick, check, over pack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as necessary.
- Follow all safety instructions to properly load / unload trailers according to procedure.
- Verify accuracy of shipments received, determine locations for products, and put product into available locations.
- Work independently and proactively.
- Clearly communicate with management and department personnel on key issues regarding returns processing.
- Adhere to all good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines and Drug Enforcement Laws.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Work in teams as designated (i.e. Safety, 5S, Lean, etc)
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Good verbal and written skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current forklift certification is required; stand-up forklift preferred
- Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
Education And Experience
Minimum +1 years warehousing experience. Oracle experience preferred.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
