About the role
As a Warehouse Specialist I, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the distribution center, ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and palletize finished goods for shipment, working overtime as needed to meet daily and weekly shipping goals.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move materials within the distribution center, including completing daily vehicle inspection reports and proper charging of vehicles after use.
- Perform light maintenance duties, such as watering batteries.
- Use handheld RF scanners for picking, replenishing, and putting away items, ensuring precise data entry, verifying product details, and recording serial numbers to maintain inventory integrity.
- Follow company and job-specific procedures, including picking and stacking products according to special instructions and cross-checking for 100% accuracy.
- Over pack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as necessary.
- Load and unload trailers safely and according to procedure.
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments, determine product locations, and put products into designated storage areas.
- Work independently and proactively, communicating clearly with management and department personnel on key issues, including returns processing.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement Laws.
- Perform general housekeeping duties and participate in team-based initiatives (e.g., Safety, 5S, Lean).
Requirements
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Current forklift certification is required; stand-up forklift experience preferred.
- Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehousing experience.
- Oracle experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Travel requirements are typically less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
