About the Role
The Team Member Relations Specialist will assist with key human resources functions, including team member relations, accommodations, and providing support and guidance to team members and managers on HR-related matters while ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general Human Resources projects, tasks, and assignments.
- Handle team member documents, maintain files, and electronic records.
- Address team member inquiries.
- Manage the accommodation process.
- Process unemployment claims.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Collaborate with HR, legal, and other departments.
- Use a personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
- Adhere to five core non-negotiable responsibilities:
- Everyone is an Ambassador: Treat the property like your own home; ensure no one gets hurt, everyone feels secure, the environment is clean, and guests get what they need.
- Everyone works in Safety: Address safety concerns by correcting them or notifying the appropriate department.
- Everyone works in Security: Report security concerns if you "See Something, Say Something."
- Everyone works in EVS: Pick up trash or notify the appropriate department for larger messes.
- Everyone works in Guest Experience: Assist guests with a smile and escalate needs beyond your capacity.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to fully understand and comply with company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least 6 months of customer service experience in a similar or related field.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred:
- Experience working in Human Resources.
- Fluency in more than one language.
- Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
Physical Demands
- Work is typically performed in an office environment.
- Must tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- Prolonged sitting and standing.
- Bending and reaching.
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 10 lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to comply with policies, procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions.
