Specialist, Tax - Remote

Responsibilities

• Preparation of annual reports and business licenses.
• Aid in the preparation of income tax returns.
• Prepare sales/use and property tax returns.
• Aid in unclaimed property tax issues.
• Aid in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
• Aid in the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision.
• Provide third party tax consultants various financial data and resolve billing issues.
• Contact various tax authorities to address and respond to tax notices.
• Perform processing of tax payments and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of tax experience in a Corporate Tax Department, professional accounting or tax certification preferred.
• Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.

Pay

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $53,888 - $77,892. The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location.

Schedule

Candidates are eligible for a designated Hybrid schedule as described below:

• Full-time on-site, or full-time remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs.
• Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor.

About the Role

The Specialist, Tax will be an integral part of the Company’s tax compliance process in support of the North American and Latin American business structures. The Tax Analyst will also have an opportunity to assist on various special projects as needed.
