This role has a strong systems verification engineering focus and contributes across the system lifecycle—from concept and design through integration, test, operation, and sustainment. You will work with engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable capability for the mission in a culture where varied perspectives, pioneering ideas, and impactful work come together.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Support systems engineering activities across concept development, design, fabrication, integration, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Translate customer and product requirements into total-system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, cost, and operational constraints.
  • Develop, derive, analyze, allocate, and trace system and subsystem requirements through verification evidence.
  • Define verification approaches, methods, procedures, test cases, and objective evidence using test, analysis, inspection, and demonstration.
  • Plan and support integration and test activities to demonstrate that hardware, software, interfaces, and external systems work together as intended.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation, interface-definition studies, and detailed trade studies.
  • Support development and maintenance of system requirements, interfaces, specifications, technical baselines, and change-impact assessments.
  • Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, support root-cause investigations, and help drive closure of verification issues.
  • Apply model-based systems engineering practices to develop and maintain system architecture, behavior, interface, requirements, and verification models.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments and contribute to mitigation planning and technical decision-making.
  • Communicate system engineering processes, verification status, technical issues, and recommendations with internal teams and, as needed, customers and external stakeholders.
  • Recommend practical enhancements to systems engineering, integration, verification, and test processes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, or training to other employees within the job area assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance if needed.

Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, functional analysis, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experience supporting hardware and software integration and test activities.
  • Experience developing or maintaining requirements, verification plans, test procedures, traceability, or verification evidence.
  • Practical knowledge of project execution, technical risk management, and system lifecycle processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaborative working skills.
