About the role
In Retirement Investment Services (RIS), we are dedicated to providing non-fiduciary investment resources and support for our clients, enabling them to make informed decisions about their investments. This role is part of the Workplace Services (WS) organization, which closely monitors the capital markets and serves as a subject matter expert in investments.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sales team by researching fund availability on Schwab's platform and providing investment insights into funds available in the plan's menu.
- Audit funds in investment menus of newly won plans and support the conversion team and third-party advisors.
- Quarterly audit of fact sheets for collective trust funds posted to the plan sponsor website.
- Monthly and quarterly client reporting.
- Manage operational functions such as adding funds to Schwab's platform, managing Morningstar data, and providing fund information to operations and implementation teams.
- Leverage MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) to identify trends in data and assist analysts and investment consultants with investment-related research projects.
- Participate in and lead virtual and in-person meetings with industry experts to gain insights into the markets and the asset management industry.
- Provide ongoing due diligence to Schwab's investment lists and offer investment insights to the RIS investment consulting team.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 1+ years of direct experience in financial services or investments.
- Strong communication and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Required: FINRA SIE and Series 7 or in pursuit of these licenses.
