About the role

The Specialist, Quality Management System role at Scout Motors is pivotal in developing and implementing the Quality department’s processes and standards, ensuring they align with the company’s overall processes, goals, and objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Product Management to meet customer needs and market requirements. The incumbent will also ensure seamless integration of Quality processes into the company’s end-to-end (E2E) process architecture, continuously evaluating and improving processes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Quality department processes and standards aligned with company processes, goals, and objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure processes and standards meet customer needs and market requirements
  • Ensure seamless integration of Quality processes into the company’s E2E process architecture
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and standards
  • Support the development of the Scout Motors Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Collaborate with BMS team members and business partners across multiple Scout Motors locations to ensure cross alignment and consistent implementation of BMS initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering/production/organizational development and/or quality management, with 3 years of QMS-related responsibilities; OEM experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field desired (Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, etc.)
  • ISO9001:2015 auditing certification required
  • Proven experience in implementation of QMS and/or execution of internal audits according to ISO9001:2015 in automotive industries
  • Extensive knowledge in organization development, process management, and process design methods
  • Sound knowledge of Quality processes and methods and their practical use
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and writing – across hierarchy and functional levels (i.e., Director and Vice President Level)
  • Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies, and plans; execute with minimal supervision and own assignments to ensure project success
  • Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities

Qualifications

Pay

  • Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
  • Internal Leveling Code: IC9

Schedule

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events
