Responsibilities

  • Perform Quality Control analysis on all CAD engineering Work Orders to ensure the final product meets standards and practices.
  • Document any deviation from provided technical specifications and report the changes to the work order to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Utilize, develop, and/or modify project-specific checklists and conform to standards.
  • Attend meetings and/or calls with engineers, drafters, and/or supervisory personnel to discuss changes in Quality Control practices that will further enhance the finished engineering work order, if necessary.
  • Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel to deliver results to the customer.
  • Engage daily with drafters via email/phone as well as occasional conference calls.
  • Report and maintain accountability to the Quality Control Manager with frequent updates on work order deadlines.
  • Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates with previous experience in Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, SpatialNET, IDDS, or 3GIS will be given high priority.
  • Knowledge of broadband engineering is a plus.
  • Must be proficient with a Windows operating system.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (emphasis on Excel).
  • Must be able to read engineering work orders and other technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work alone or with a team.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Pay

The wage range for this remote Design Quality Control role is $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
