Specialist, Project Engineering (Melbourne, FL)
About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Project Engineer to support the FAA Enhanced SWIM Cloud Service (ESCS) program. The role involves managing project activities to meet schedule and cost targets, coordinating with the PM and engineering function, and supporting the development and deployment of program activities.
Responsibilities
- Supports full lifecycle Project Engineering for proposal development, deployment, and integration efforts.
- Manages project teams to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.
- Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
- Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and disposes of project risks.
- Estimates resource and material needs for the project/product.
- Coordinates between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution.
- Knowledge of Systems and Network Engineering.
- Interest in implementing solutions as a managed service.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The job is full-time with a flexible schedule of 9/80.
