About the role

Southwire Company, LLC is a leader in technology and innovation, manufacturing wire and cable products, contractor equipment, and digital solutions. This position supports and administers People & Culture (P&C) initiatives within a specific business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Supports front-line leadership with the management of team member relations cases, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Administers HRIS and other P&C-related systems to ensure efficient processes, data accuracy, and effective reporting.
  • Supports initiatives to determine hiring needs, workforce planning, and succession planning strategies while ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives by partnering with stakeholders.
  • Affirms P&C processes and programs to identify areas for improvement and recommends strategies for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in line with business goals.
  • Supports onboarding and training initiatives at the business unit level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience: 2-4 years
  • Licenses/Certificates: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
  • Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
  • Field of Expertise: Manufacturing and/or Distribution; relevant industry experience
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus (Spanish)

Qualifications

  • Maintains compliance with P&C policies and legal requirements, ensuring adherence to labor laws and providing advice on best practices.
  • Supports front-line leadership with best practices in people management, compliance, and team member engagement strategies, and fosters professional growth.
  • Advises individuals to ensure all P&C activities and initiatives align with the company’s strategic objectives, while also supporting individual career development.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to drive performance, growth, and compliance across all P&C functions.
  • Partners with leadership and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to drive performance, growth, and compliance across all P&C functions.
