What you’ll do

  • Define and maintain testable OBD requirements aligned with regulatory needs and system-level diagnostic concepts for Scout’s software-defined vehicle architecture
  • Translate OBD system requirements into clear validation criteria, test cases, and acceptance conditions, ensuring completeness and consistency
  • Develop and structure test specifications for OBD monitors, readiness behavior, MIL activation, DTC setting/clearing logic, and fault handling
  • Ensure full traceability from OBD requirements to verification activities, including linking to test cases, execution results, and release evidence
  • Collaborate closely with HIL engineers, validation teams, calibration engineers, and software developers to align on test coverage and execution strategies
  • Support the development and automation of HIL, SIL, and vehicle-level test scenarios, including fault injection, edge cases, and regulatory drive cycles
  • Review and validate diagnostic implementations against defined requirements, ensuring correct monitor execution and expected system behavior under all operating conditions
  • Analyze test results, diagnostic traces, and measurement data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or non-compliances, and drive structured issue resolution
  • Ensure that OBD validation covers nominal operation, edge conditions, degraded modes, and recovery behavior
  • Support regulatory readiness by contributing to validation reports, compliance documentation, and readiness assessments
  • Coordinate activities throughout prototype and serial development, including test planning, execution tracking, and reporting
  • Work with systems and architecture teams to ensure OBD requirements are designed for testability and scalable validation within the SDV framework
  • Continuously improve test methods, validation strategies, and requirement quality to enhance efficiency and robustness

What you’ll bring
